Cookie Policy

Last updated: 8 June 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of the site.

This policy explains what cookies AutoGenie uses, why, and how you can control them.

2. The cookies we use

At the time of writing, AutoGenie uses strictly-necessary cookies only. We do not use analytics cookies, marketing cookies, or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes we will update this policy and update our cookie banner accordingly.

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the Service to work. They don't track you and they don't need your consent under EU law (ePrivacy Directive, transposed in Ireland by SI 336/2011).

Technical error monitoring

We use Sentry to capture application errors so we can fix them. Sentry's default configuration on AutoGenie does not set tracking cookies and does not record session replays. It captures error events, stack traces, and minimal request metadata (URL, browser, status code). This processing is carried out on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in operating a stable and secure Service.

3. Cookies we do not use (yet)

For transparency: AutoGenie does not currently use any analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics), advertising cookies, social-media sharing cookies, or cross-site tracking pixels.

If we add any of these in the future, we will (a) update this policy, (b) update our cookie banner to a full consent gate, and (c) only set those cookies after you've actively opted in.

4. Managing cookies in your browser

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or delete cookies that are already on your device. See your browser's help pages for instructions:

Note that if you block the strictly-necessary cookies above, parts of the Service (especially signing in and managing a dealer account) will stop working.

5. Changes

If we change the cookies we use, we will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, prompt you to re-acknowledge the cookie notice.
